Sink Traps

Sink wastes enable water to effectively run off into the drainage system whilst also allowing you to block the pipes in order to fill the sink up with water. There are multiple types of sink waste available, each offering its own visual design and functional properties. Popular sink waste styles include the: 

Click Clack 

The most commonly spotted sink waste style on the market, the click clack is sleek in design and very simple to use. Just push down once on the stopper to close the waste and then push down once again to open. 

Flip Top 

Designed with a disc-shaped stopper, the flip top waste is a popular choice for minimal and contemporary bathroom designs. To block or open up the drain, the stopper can simply be rotated or flipped. 

Pop-Up 

Pop-up wastes incorporate a waste lever mechanism which can be pushed or pulled to raise or lower the stopper. This allows you to seal or reveal the drain as you please. 

Plug & Chain 

A classic choice for many bathrooms and kitchens, the plug and chain waste incorporates a plug fixed to a chain which can be used to block or open up water entry to the sink drain. 

Free Flow 

Very simple in design, the free flow waste keeps your sink drain permanently exposed for the free flow of water at all times. 

Slotted or Unslotted? 

The simple answer to this question is: if your sink has an overflow, you will need a slotted basin waste and if it doesn’t, you’ll need to fit an unslotted basin waste.
