Non-return Valves

Non-return valves are designed with two openings in the body – one for the media to enter and the other for it to exit. They provide installers with an affordable and easy method of preventing backward flow of liquid or gas. 

The main function of a non-return valve (NRV) is to permit the movement of liquid/gas in one direction whilst automatically preventing backflow. Non-return valves are flow sensitive, which means they rely on the flow of the media to open and close. The internal disc opens to allow the flow through the valve, but the disc will then start to close as the forward flow decreases or is reversed.
