Compression 

A compression fitting is a type of coupling used to connect two pipes together or to join a pipe to a fixture/valve. Compression fittings are designed with an inner olive or compression ring as well as an outer compression nut. As the nut is tightened, pressure is applied to the olive, compressing it between the nut and the pipe. This seals the space tightly and creates a secure watertight connection.  

Suitable for use on both copper and plastic pipework, compression fittings are ideal for installation across both hot and cold systems.  

End Feed 

End feed fittings are affordable and simple in design. They are used to join pieces of copper pipework in a range of different plumbing systems but cannot be used on plastic piping. The fittings are larger than the diameter of the pipe so require soldering to create a secure and robust joint.  

Press-Fit 

A fast, safe, and easy way to join pipework, press fittings involve no heat, no soldering, and no welding of joints. With the use of press fittings, secure connections can be made in a fraction of the time it would take to weld or solder pipework which is hugely beneficial when fitting larger-scale pipe systems. They can be used in a wide variety of applications including the delivery and drainage of potable water as well as gas and even steam.   

Push-Fit 

With no specialist tools required and far easier installation, push-fit fittings make a practical and DIY-friendly alternative to traditional pipe fittings. Incredibly simple to work with, you simply push the pipe into the fitting and a robust, watertight seal is formed with no need for soldering. There is an extensive range of plastic and copper push-fit fittings available to choose from in a multitude of sizes, shapes, and angles to accommodate many applications.  

Solder Ring 

As solder ring fittings are manufactured with a solder ring built-in, they are easily installable with no requirement for extra soldering. Fast and easy to fit, the solder simply melts on the application of heat which securely joins the pipework to the fitting. This type of fitting is ideal for smaller-scale metal pipework applications with a wide selection of fittings available to suit a variety of different plumbing projects. 

BSP   

BSP stands for British Standard Pipe which is a set of technical standards used internationally for the connecting and sealing of pipes and pipe fittings. Throughout the UK, BSP threads are commonly used and are either parallel (BSPP) fittings which are typically sealed on a washer or an ‘O’ ring seal or tapered (BPST) which taper along the length and are sealed by two mating threads.
