Straightforward and convenient, light switches can be placed far from the light itself, meaning strategic placement for both can result in optimal accessibility. Highly versatile and aesthetically varied, our collection of light switches is made up of some of the tops makes by leading industry brands. They are made of materials including brass, uPVC, and chrome plating, and can be purchased with one, two, three, or four induvial switches on each model.

Installing switches can be very simple and straightforward, and the process can be carried out by both enthusiasts and professionals, so long as the appropriate safety measures are taken beforehand and during the project.

Once activated, you can be sure of a longer lifespan from your light switch, even if placed in a room where it is used throughout the day. With robust builds and high-quality materials, these switches are also designed with longevity in mind, and once your model is installed you can be sure of multiple years of service.

We stock a wide selection of light switches ranging from 1 gang up to 4 gang in standard toggle and dimmer styles. There are a number of different colours and finishes available including standard white, polished chrome, stainless steel, black nickel and many more. Simply pick the perfect style to suit your space.

1,2,3 & 4 Gang Switches

When purchasing a light switch, you will typically find the switch described as 1 gang, 2, 3 or even 4 gang. The term ‘gang’ refers to the number of switches on the plate. A single or 1 gang switch controls a singular lighting circuit whilst a double allows you to control two and so on.

In some cases, a single circuit can be controlled by two switches, say if there is lighting at both the top and bottom of a staircase. So that you can switch the light on and off in both places, a two-way switch will be required.

1,2,3 & 4 Way Switches

A one-way switch has two terminals which allows basic on/off functionality. When ON, the COM terminal connects to the L1 terminal which brings light but when OFF, the COM terminal is connected to nothing which means no electrical current flows. Pretty easy, right?

Two-way switches are a little bit trickier functionality-wise, incorporating three terminals instead. In simple terms, a two-way switch generally means there is another switch controlling the same light, often in large rooms where switches are needed in multiple locations.

Three-way switches are commonly installed so that a light fixture can be controlled from two different locations such as down a long hallway, whereas four-way switches are used for controlling lighting from three or more locations.
